What Happens when you are having a Baby

Getting pregnant can both be an exciting and a worrisome stage in married life for new and experienced moms. There's the excitement over first learning that you are going to have a baby. There's the anxiety over how much you might change physically as the pregnancy progresses. And then there's the final rush of adrenaline as you approach your due date for delivery. Whether you are a first time mom-to-be or a veteran mom, each pregnancy is a learning experience and may totally different from one another. Here's a few of the events to look forward to during pregnancy.

1. The Pregnancy Kit So you are having the signs of pregnancy - nausea, vomiting, cravings for certain foods, temper tantrums, waste no time in buying a pregnancy kit and confirming it in order to ready yourself and your  family. It is easy to buy this kit as it is accessible at any pharmacy store or at some convenient stores. Pregnancy kits may differ so you might want to read the back label first for instruction before using one. The usual procedure would be to use the kit when urinating early morning before taking any fluids. This is done to get the most accurate results of the test.

2. Prenatal Check Ups Gynecologists are doctors who specialize on the reproductive system of women. Their main role is to check and make sure that you and your baby are getting the needed nutrition, vitamins and rest during the ongoing pregnancy and to proactively offer advice to mothers. You are free to discuss whatever sickness you feel during this period and what expectations there would be.

3. Baby Bumps and Fashion Who says you're getting uglier because you're gaining a few more pounds due to your pregnancy? During pregnancy there is that term that's called the "pregnancy glow" wherein the gestating would-be-mother almost literally glows. Although this is largely contributed by an increase in the volume of blood and the increased secretion of oil glands, there is nothing wrong with having a face that's seemingly blushing all the time. And who says that you only have to wear way too large maternity dresses for comfort? A great many maternity shops are taking great consideration on the aspects of pregnant women's being extra self-conscious during gestation period. They've taken extra pains to develop more fashionable choices of clothes for the expecting mother. So you can now well be walking fashionably in public in a pair of leggings with a great tube dress and a baby bump.

4.  Heartbeats, First Kicks and Ultrasound Nothing could get more exciting than to first feel your baby kicking inside your tummy. It is usually the highlight of a would-be mom and dad especially when you first hear the sound of your baby’s heartbeat from the Doppler apparatus, or at the first ultrasound to determine the gender of your baby. This could be an emotional state for some expecting mothers who cry upon hearing their baby's heartbeat. This is normal as you are awe-inspired at such a tiny life forming inside your womb.

 5. Labor Pains: When the first signs of labor pains begin and your bag of water breaks, expect that your partner will be racing to and fro trying to get things ready. He’ll probably be more excited and nervous than you would be so try to calm him down.

6. D-Day: This would be the moment you both would be waiting for as you lie on the delivery table and wait for the signs when to start pushing. Your partner is nervously flicking through his camera as he tries hard not to tremble while taking the video. But it happens almost too fast and everyone in the delivery room rejoices as your doctor holds the most precious form of life right in his hands. Your baby! And good thing dad was able to finish taking the scenes before he fainted.

Your nine months of being pregnant has ended and so begins another milestone for you and your baby.
